The Funkstown Community Park contains 2 pavilions, 2 tennis courts, Little league field, Legion ball field and various playground equipment off of Maple street entrance. It also has 2 pavilions, 1 basketball court and various playground equipment off of the Robert Kline Way entrance. All parking is free. It is open 7 days a week from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm and is free (except park pavilion rentals) to all visitors. Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash and you MUST clean up after your pet. A fee is required to obtain a park permit to reserve a pavilion. Applicants may call 301-791-0948 or stop in Town Hall to first check the availability of the date. An application will need to be filled out and signed. A park pavilion permit will be issued and applicants will have use of the pavilion the entire day. The permit is issued subject to the terms and conditions of the application, which is incorporated and made a part of the application and permit.
