Library

For those residents that can remember back to when we had a library in Funkstown will love this news. We now have a new library in Funkstown again. Okay it may not be as large as the old one but it is still a library none the less. Yes it is the FIRST little library in town and it is very fitting that it is place at the town hall as that was the location of the original library in town until about 1980. The new little library was built by Tech high and painted and decorated by the students from Springfield middle school. The Town will have books in it before thanksgiving. The town would like to thank Rich Gaver and Terry Feiser for getting the materials together to put the library in place and Asst Scoutmaster for Troop 23 Roger Quinn for digging the holes.

Highway Safety Plan

Washington County Sheriff Doug Mullendore presented the Washington County Highway Safety Plan to the Town Council on Monday night. He was looking for an endorsement from the town which was not hard to achieve. Please check out the link to the PDF of the proposal as it is very enlightening.
