The power company has advised that there will be an outage effecting East Baltimore, East Chestnut street and the Stouffer ave area on Wednesday between 8-3. If weather conditions do not work out it will be the same times on Thursday of this week.
Funkstown Food Truck Festival
Let’s do it again!! The first first Funkstown Food Truck Festival was such an overwhelming success that we are planning an even bigger and better event in 2023. We are the number of food trucks, MORE live music, in addition to a corn hole tournament & lawn games for all ages.

No ticket needed – no fee to attend the festival. There will be entry fees for the corn hole tournament ( $40/team of 2) All other activities are FREE or individually charged by the businesses attending.
Car show Registration starts at 4pm – Entry Fee $10
Free car plaque to the first 50 entrees, Shaded parking spaces
$50 & trophy awarded to the winner in each of these categories: Best Car, Best Truck, Best Motorcycle, Scouts Choice

July 14th Friday 2023
1:00 P.M. the camp will be open for all registered participants of the re-enactment.
July 15th Saturday 2023
9:00 A.M. there will be foraging in town by the troops for food. All excess food not used by the re-enactors will be donated to the St Paul’s food bank.
10:00 A.M. the street battle will begin and will run about 1 hour on Baltimore Street.
10:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. food will be sold by the Funkstown Fire Company at pavilion #3 in the lower area next to the ball field off of Robert Kline Way. Please see menu attached.
1:00 P.M. Period Fashion Show and Tea Pavilion #4.
2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. live music will be provided by the band Jeff Taulton & Friends in pavilion #3.
4:00 P.M. the Battle of Funkstown will begin in the east section of the park off of Robert Kline Way, and will last about 1 hour.
5:00 P.M. -8:00 P.M. live music will be provided by The Vantastics in pavilion #3.
Fireworks will be at dusk.
July 16th Sunday 2023
7:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Funkstown Fire Company will be selling breakfast to include all you can eat pancakes, bacon, breakfast sausage links, scrambled eggs, sausage gravy & biscuits, home fries, homemade bread pudding, fruit salad, orange juice, coffee, bottled water at pavilion #3 in the lower area next to the ball field off of Robert Kline Way.
10:00 A.M. there will be a church service at pavilion #4 off of Robert Kline Way.
1:00 P.M. the final field battle will begin in the east section of the park off of Robert Kline Way.
Trash pick up.
Trash collection will be delayed by one day, and will be picked up on Friday, July 7th, due to the holiday.
Battle of Funkstown
The Battle Of Funkstown will be held July 15,16 at the park and in town. It is a great time for one and all with a history lesson slipped in for good measure. Click this link for more details.
Thanksgiving holiday
The Thanksgiving holiday schedule will be as follows: NO waste collection on Thursday, November 24th, but waste collection will be on Friday, November 25th.
Town Office will be closed Thursday the 24th and Friday the 25th.
The last yard collection will be on Tuesday, November 29th, and will resume again on the first Tuesday in April, 2023.
