Halloween Parade

The Funkstown Halloween Parade will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017, starting at 6:00 p.m. (lineup is at 5:30 p.m.)

located on Chestnut Street (rear of Town Hall).  Following the parade, a Halloween Costume Contest will take place at the

Funkstown American Legion.  All Funkstown children are invited to attend.

October Mayor and Council meeting

The regular Mayor & Council meeting scheduled for Monday, October 9, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. has been RESCHEDULED for

Monday, October 30, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Mayor & Council Chambers at Town Hall.

 

Trick or Treat

The time is almost here.

The town parade will be Thursday the 26th starting at 6:00pm.

Trick or Treat will be Friday October 27th from 6-8pm.

Fireworks

The Fireworks that did not get to happen at the Day in the Park/Battle of Funkstown event have been rescheduled to September 3rd at dusk the rain day is September 4th. We hope to see you there.

First Fridays In Funkstown

Come to Funkstown the first Friday of each month and catch most all of the business open from 6:00 to 9:00. It is great time to catch up on your shopping and have a leisure shopping experience with out all the crowds at the mall.

Fire Company Barbecue

The Funkstown Fire company will be having another barbecue Saturday June 24th from 9:30 to sold out. Too many items to list but it is all eat in or carry out and bar none some of the best food you will ever find. Please come out and support the brave fireman that protect us everyday.

AYCE Benefit Dinner

Please come out and support the Fire Company and the Boys Scouts of Funkstown.

An organizational meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 6th at 6:30 p.m. at pavilion 2 (near the tennis courts) in the Funkstown Community Park.

What is a community garden?

A garden that is developed, planted, tended, and harvested by community members.

Our Funkstown garden will be on land in the Town Park and will be organized, managed, and gardened by Funkstown residents.

What are the benefits of having a community garden?

An opportunity for those residents without a garden area to have a vegetable garden.

Fresh vegetables and outdoor exercise that contribute to a healthy lifestyle.

Fresh vegetables to donate to those in need and to food banks.

Sharing gardening skills and knowledge with those residents who are new to gardening.

A renewed sense of community involvement for those who participate in the garden.

 

 

What do we need to do to get started?

Please join us and take part in developing our Funkstown Community Garden.
