The Day in the Park / Battle of Funkstown event is just around the corner on july 18th and 19th. But there is a new addition to the line up for this outstanding event……….. The 1st Annual Car Show. The show is open to anyone with a car or truck and would like to show it off and support scouting in Funkstown. The cost for entry is just a $5.00 donation that will go to help the Boy Scouts In Funkstown. The judging will be done by the general public that comes out to view the cars and trucks. The winner will get the “Best of Show” trophy and a cash prize that is to be determined. The show will run from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. This is a great chance to get in on the ground floor of a new event. Also there will be plenty to do while you are waiting to hear just who the winner is while you are eating the great food from the Fire Company, browsing the craft venders, watching the kids games or checking out the Civil War re-enactors. With all of the activity, excitement and good deeds you will sleep great after the fireworks show so it is really a day that is good for your health, not to say anything about the points that you will get for taking your best girl or guy out for a day of fun.
